ADAMIND COMPLETES FIRST STAGE OF MULTIPLE CAPACITY UPGRADE AGREEMENTS WITH CARRIER IN THE U.S.
Adamind's Spire™ Platform continues to enable carrier's multimedia content adaptation capabilities as capacity requirements increase
Palo Alto, California. 14 November, 2006: Adamind (LSE:
ADA) (“Adamind” or the "Company”), a global supplier
of software that enables mobile multimedia content and converged communications
services to be experienced over any device or network, announces that
it has completed the first stage of a multiple capacity upgrade agreement
with a carrier customer in the U.S through one of its Multimedia Messaging
Service Center (MMSC) OEM channels.
This agreement will generate revenues of approximately $500k for Adamind
and are factored into the revenue guidance for full year 2006 provided
by the Company on 30 August 2006.
Shailendra Jain, CEO of Adamind says: "These capacity upgrades demonstrate
that operators are seeing an increase in MMS traffic and expect this to
rise further over the holiday season. Since the installation of the Adamind
Spire™ platform, the carrier has witnessed a multiple fold increase
in its rich-media messaging traffic."
Cindy Andreotti, former President of Enterprise Markets at MCI and currently
Strategic Advisor at Adamind adds, “While overall subscriber acceptance
and global uptake of MMS has been relatively slow, recent reports are
indicating a systematic upswing particularly in the United States. Adamind
is well positioned to accommodate this growing demand in messaging and
content services."
According to quarterly statistics released by operators and statistics
published by Informa Telecoms & Media, the United States is the global
frontrunner in terms of MMS traffic. The CTIA Semi-Annual Wireless Industry
Survey reports that MMS messages sent during the month of June 2006 (1.1
billion) were equivalent to the total number of MMS messages delivered
during the entire first six months of 2005. According to a recent report
by M:Metrics, MMS in the US has increase by 32% in the last six months.
