ADAMIND ANNOUNCES SPIRETM PRODUCTION SUITE FOR MOBILE CONTENT PROVIDERS, AGGREGATORS AND SERVICE OPERATORS

Adamind SpireTM Production Suite provides content producers with the ultimate platform for media-rich content production & delivery

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. — Mobile Entertainment Summit — September 26, 2005 - Adamind (LSE: ADA), a leading global supplier of media adaptation software in the Mobile Messaging, Content and Convergence Services markets, today announced the launch of its new SpireTM Production Suite for mobile content providers, aggregators, mobile portals, operators and MVNOs (mobile virtual network operators) at the 2005 Mobile Entertainment Summit. The SpireTM Production Suite will enable content producers to offer subscribers a wide variety of mobile entertainment services including music, video, breaking news, weather, sports and branded content. The Yankee Group forecasts that content producers and mobile service providers will reach revenues of more than $22 Billion by the year 2007 from mobile entertainment services.

As new content providers emerge into the wireless market, these high-brand, content-driven companies are much more focused on top quality, first-hand customer experience in the early stages of their business. To this end, Adamind's SpireTM platform equips these providers with automated content adaptation tools for preparation, publishing and delivery of media-rich content while reducing the launch investment and ongoing costs for service operators.

Adamind MediaSpireTM provides state-of-the-art content adaptation functionality and enables service interoperability that fits the profiles of any end-user device, network and content source. The platform equips content providers with seamless transcoding in real-time or offline mode to adapt content to a wide variety of devices with different form factors and media processing capabilities used by subscribers. In addition, content providers can perform transcoding in a manual mode by uploading a single content type to the operator environment, which is then automatically transformed to fit the end-user device requesting a download of that particular content.

Adamind's SpireTM Production Suite handles adaptation of any media format, such as video, audio, ringtone, image, or animated slideshow to best fit any target device. The suite allows the publisher to validate the transcoded content before it is finally published. The preparation and verification steps allow the publishers to reduce the publishing cost and optimize the content to best fit the mobile network and target device.

The SpireTM platform resides in the heart of the operator network, and seamlessly integrates with a content management system (CMS) operated by a content aggregator, portal, MVNO or operator. Adamind's SpireTM Production Suite is a one-stop offline and online content adaptation platform that includes:
  • Manual and Automated Media Adaptation using a Content Preparation Client that transcodes and validates any media format. Content producers can create and edit transcoding templates, upload media files, send requests for transcoding and specify the target device. They can further set enhanced features, such as logos and text insertion or clip merging
  • Unique preview features of the produced content, which enable multiple iterations to be modeled and tested;
  • Advanced Device Repository, profiling a wide variety of multimedia-capable devices and adaptation rules used to adjust content to best fit the target device, creating the most engaging consumer experience.
  • Online and offline adaptation, providing on-the-fly content adaptation capabilities upon delivery to the device, or offline content adaptation for batch versioning and preparation of content
  • An extended conversion matrix supporting all formats, including content services specific formats (e.g., wallpapers, screensavers and more).
Adamind SpireTM offers revenue-generating functionality for every link in the mobile content value chain, from content providers and aggregators to mobile portals, MVNOs and operators. With such value-added features such as content previewing, DRM, branding and advertising, service providers and service operators can promote mobile content consumption and strengthen their branded content.

"Seamless content adaptation is crucial to the successful delivery of today's emerging content producers," said Shailendra Jain, CEO of Adamind. "We provide a flexible, interoperable platform enabling mobile content service providers to quickly launch their media-rich branded content services, and provide the highest quality first-hand subscriber experience."

Adamind plans to unveil a comprehensive evaluation program for content producers. For more information about Adamind's Content Partner Program, contact cpp@adamind.com.
