ADAMIND MEDIASPIRE INTERCEPTS MMS TRANSMITTED COMMWARRIOR VIRUS TO MOBILE DEVICES

Adamind's virus detection capabilities and anti-abuse support eliminate spread of CommWarrior MMS virus attack among MobileOne Singapore's MMS-active subscribers

Milpitas, California - September 6, 2005 - Adamind (LSE: ADA), a leading global supplier of media adaptation software in the Mobile Messaging, Content and Convergence Services markets today announced it has successfully installed a solution against a new mobile virus that spreads via MMS messages affecting MMS-active subscribers at MobileOne Singapore - a leading mobile communications provider in Singapore, with over one million customers.

Media-based viruses are becoming one of the biggest problems of the wired world. MMS viruses are comparable to the more familiar mass mailing PC viruses. One virus capable of propagating itself via MMS messages is "CommWarrior", a worm that targets the version of the Symbian operating system running on Nokia Series-60 handsets. As it spreads by sending multiple MMS messages from the infected device, the virus can accumulate large usage fees before an infected phone's owner becomes aware of the problem. Furthermore, the virus can damage the data stored on the device (contact list, calendar of events and more). On the operator side, an MMS virus spread can directly affect mobile data ARPU, resulting in loss of network bandwidth and a drastic decline in mobile content consumption.

MobileOne has deployed MMS services in a rich environment of device diversity. Singapore has a short time to market turnover rate, where subscribers acquire on average a new device once a year. MobileOne introduces a new device each week, and sometimes even more! Faced with the device interoperability challenge, Adamind's MediaSpire was deployed at MobileOne, serving as the key media transcoding solution within the operator's network, handling multimedia content adaptation for a smooth and error-free flow of rich mobile content traffic through the network.

Adamind's virus detection module - an integral anti-abuse component of Adamind MediaSpire - provided MobileOne with an immediate, built-in fixing mechanism to filter out viruses disguised as multimedia content Adamind MediaSpire inspects each MMS with all its parts, and was able to block the undesirable virus which disguised as MMS content.

"The implementation of Adamind MediaSpireTM platform has significantly improved our capabilities to deliver MMS services to our customers", said Patrick Scodeller, CTO, MobileOne Ltd. "With the recent spread of such mobile malware as the MMS CommWarrior virus, Adamind's virus detection module was able to immediately identify the characteristics of the virus and eliminate the threat to a large group of MobileOne's MMS-active subscribers.

"As MMS uptake increases, malicious content is spreading more easily than ever before, threatening to destroy the end user's service experience," said Shailendra Jain, CEO of Adamind." At MobileOne Singapore, where Adamind MediaSpireTM was already deployed, we were able to provide an immediate media-related value added service on top of the core media adaptation services to completely eliminate the CommWarrior MMS virus from spreading."
